Mutilated Flugzeugführerabzeichen. Real or Fake?

Bought this badge yesterday at a collectibles antique show I am thinking it's a copy but one never knows or at least I dont anyway.Offered up for your consideration gentlemen I paid very little for it so I am not expecting much I have looked at a few but the hinge end of the catch does not look right to me or the curl on the eagles beak just to say a couple of things about it.

Thats what I thought no great loss it only cost me a cup of coffee and an intresting conversation with a picker for an hour or so was well worth the price I paid Eric.

I did not like the detail much either Mike as there appears to be a mold line around the hole outside of the eagle and the eagle seemed to thick and heavy to me as well as the detail seems soft but I still needed to ask the question.
