Article about: I like it too. The various materials used to make it all appear right to me. BTW, not all these cloth versions had a date flaw.

    @Ned thats is what I understand the later ones got even worse. So would only the early ones be flaw free?

    Here's mine just for the record. A bit moth eaten around the edge but for £50 I'm not that fussy........

    adrian's comments are spot on.

    the base material has shrunk. the outer red ring has moved under the metal wreath (which, of course, does not shink) and the inner red ring has also correspondingly moved inward away from the metal wreath as well.

    it's a good example with shrinkage of the base material probably due to, as previously mentioned, having been wet at some time in the past.
