Re: Need information and Identification
Hello Antoine,
the first picture is of a winged swastika and I think it is just a tinnie, I thought it may have been a DLV badge but it isn't. You then have an SA members stick pin.
The small round badge with the aeroplane on is a 'Help the German Airsport' badge...another tinnie. I am sure the orange background is Baltic amber. The green plastic one is a town festival tinnie for Cologne.
I would like to see the two enamel badges that you have tucked away at the edges of your pictures and also one of the back of the winged swastika
All the best
Doug

Hi Doug, Thanks for the answer. I will post them later after work, there is about 20 french badges.
Anyway I'm not really sure about the french translation of "Tinnie" ?
And thank you Mr Mosel ;-)

Re: Need information and Identification
A 'tinnie' is the name given to the small, mass produced badges that were sold to raise funds for different causes. The is a great thread here: WHW Tinnies which shows a the very wide ranging and varied field of the 'tinnie'.
Some were made in tin, others in plastic, wood, zinc, card or paper, cloth. The name 'tinnie' is just a collectors term for these badges.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
