It looks like an artificially aged Latvian forgery. Just my opinion....

It's a tinnie for an NSFK marksmanship event...It just looks a bit off because someone decided to polish it.

    Thanks guys for your feedback.

How much would you say this tinnie typically sells for?

Look at Wittmann Militaria. There you will get an idea of the price. It looks to be a cast, and i think they were stamped. There is a funny whole in the chin, and the S in NS looks a little strange. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

I always look at the detail around the hands on these, good way to tell a repo from real, just me....

This looks nothing like cast to me here are some of my NSFK to compare detail.

The best place to look is always the reverse and the pin, especially the way the pin is mounted to the badge. Part of the fun for me is to learn about the manufacturing process/materials used/markings etc...The Front of a badge will get my attention, but the reverse is what "seals the deal" for me personally.
This will give you an edge when unsure of authenticity, especially if you can't access the Internet at the time. Happy Hunting, Glenn
