Picked this up several years ago at a small show...I think it's pretty good but the short pin has always had me wondering, would love you get a few opinions on it to put my mind at ease. 9mm zinc, tough little bugger to photograph in any detail.

I found this one for comparrison and it looks a little different to yours, especially the pin, which appears to be newer than the badge - possibly a replacement judging by the newer, shinier look to it.

That one looks like an earlier one, probably by another firm.

The seller had a couple of these and a couple of Wound Badge stickpins. I see no sign of it being a replaced pin, maybe an unfinished pendant with a pin attached later, but I'm not sure. The lack of wear on the pin compared to the planchet doesn't concern me, as the planchet is zinc and I'd expect it to wear much quicker, appears to have a bit of zinc pest
