Medal is OK.
The bubbling is common with zinc medals and badges.

I just got one as well which is on the way to me
amongst my favourite medals
I've got 2 or 3 of these, but must still find one that retains the silver like this one.

Good, original piece. Medal and ribbon are period and the zinc bubbling is a good sign, not yet convincingly replicated on fakes.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
This ones a fakerooney, cast and undersized plus lots of bad detail, letters, numbers, sword etc.
