Thanks Nick, i wondered if any survived to be used for repro's as i take it they could not be used for reissue for troops that had lost there original decorations.
Which i believe is the the case for allied troops.

I can assure you they where NOT destroyed....for one particulary factory in Antwerp.
And, YES they are still making repro's on those original dies.

the Steinhauer/Lück in Lüdenscheid knight´s cross was made many years after the war with the original tool´s. the KC from S&L was sold till the 80´s in two version´s with a swastika for foreign collectors and without for the germans.
