the SA sports badge from 1939 was called the SA defense badge.
Thanks for the clarification-I'll have to get one of each, since I'll have a silver infantry and a bronze panzer.

For those collectors in N America, are there any particular trade shows worth going to for good prospects?
Plenty, my friend. I went to the MAX show for the first time this year expecting to see a lot of overpriced militaria. I actually found a lot of good deals, like $75 for a cased mutterkreuz in gold.
