To me, it has some characteristics of a casting. I would wait for others to respond, but I believe I have seen this badge somewhere and passed due to the appearance.

there are some awful quality late war riders badges but I thought these were mostly the S&L examples.
The one you have looks dog rough and I wouldn't like to make a call on it but it sure is an example I don't really believe in.

I don't like the flashing that appears on the reverse wreath near the horse's front leg and rear leg.
IMO, these are signs of a cast copy.
