    Hey Everyone,

I was just wondering what people's thoughts about the round Flugzeugführerabzeichen. Ive been reading up on them a bit. I find it hard to believe that they would be Jet fighter badges. I'd like to hear what others have to say.

    Thanks Kindly,

    Jess

Hi Jess, to put it bluntly, the "jet pilots badge" theory is a load of rubbish. There is no proof at all that these badges are pre 1945. Most serious collectors regard them as fantasy items.

    Cheers, Ade.

    Hey Ade,

Thats what I thought originally, but just recently, i was watching the Hitler's bodyguard series on the Military Channel here in the US and noticed an Obergruppenführer wearing what appears to be a round pilots badge. I have it scheduled to record on my DVR. I'll post a picture when I spot it again. I dont know if anyone else saw this. It was the wolf's lair episode. I might be off, but tell me what you think.

    Thanks Kindly,

    Jess

Hi Jess, I would be highly dubious that it is that badge, especially given the branch of service of the man wearing it. If you can get a screen capture of it I would be interested to see it though.

    Cheers, Ade.

Hi there, I have just been offered a round pilots badge. Its by Junker, looks and feels ok and is in good condition. The pin is of a question mark type ie slight loop out from the hinge then straight down. "C" shape pin catch. I will post a few pictures asap. What would your thoughts be on these. Thanks Bob
