Schutzenschnur

Article about: I came across this shooting lanyard at a show. I could use some opinions on it as a new area for me. Real or Fake ? Thanks for your opinions. John

    Likely something like wear to the tunics dictated the implementation of them.
    The lanyards were instituted by an order of 29 June 1936. The cloth backing was introduced by an order of 19 June 1937 after it had been found that the lanyards damaged the uniforms by chafing and rubbing off aluminum residue.
