Hi Guys,
This is my latest war badge and I was hoping you guys could take a look at it. It looks right to me matching the badge in Sascha Weber's book on page 200.
I've been wrong before so just to be safe I'm sharing it.
Thanks a bunch!

Hello Kirby
A little background first...
This one used to be referred to as the Deformed Leaf variant with Vertical Crimped in hardware. If you look at the inside of leaf 3R (3rd leaf down from the eagle, right side) it has the tell, tell leaf and is a trait unique to this maker. I have circled it in red.
Recently a Vertical Crimp example has been found with a mm packet and is now attributed to the Deumer firm. There are also an Oval Crimp example and another with a Block Hinge. Both of these share the same Obverse features as your Vertical Crimp example.
Best Regards, fischer
Spot on call,Fischer! You know your Infantry badges! William

Glenn that is one nice looking badge!
fischer, thanks for the input very interesting to know a maker can now be associated with the badge.
I always learn a lot from you guys thanks for taking the time to share.

Thanks for the compliment Kirby! It took awhile to find one in such nice condition and it was my favorite until I chanced upon what I think is an even nicer bronze example. The contrast between the highs and chocolate low patina on this 3.01 JFS have me admiring it even more so than the Deumer.
Cheers
Glenn
