Sportabzeichen. What is it?

Good day.
Could I ask the determination of the sports badge? I am a layman in these matters, and it can not be traced. The badge has no markings.

its either Dutch an outside chance to do with the Prinz Eugen div where ever the troops came from escapes me.

It's the Sports Badge of the Ethnic German community in Croatia. (There was also an equivalent attributed to the Ethnic German community in Hungary, which had a "sunwheel" Swastika instead of the Odal Rune-in-a-circle device.)

The letters "VDS" are believed to stand for "Volksdeutsches Sportabzeichen".

I cannot comment on the authenticity of the item. These badges are very rare.
