SS 4 Year Service medal

Hey gang. This arrived just yesterday. Quite happy to have added it to the collection. Came from a trusted source and also nice that it got the thumbs up already from other collectors as well given there are some good repros out there.
There is some verdisgris on it....thoughts? Should I remove it? I leave it on my buckles....not sure if I should remove it from the medal. Also told that it is Deschler made....any thoughts on the maker?

Anyhoot...goes nicely in my small SS display. I'm pumped to have it in the mix!

Hi Rob, very nice example. It compliments your SS display well.

You need to remove verdigris from any metal: in time it will cause pitting.

Nice to see so many pics of an original for reference.

Go easy on the cleaning, make sure you know how to do it, don't lift any of the finish.

Rob,
I would start with warm, mildly soapy water and an old, soft toothbrush and tooth pick. See how you get on with that. You could post a link to this thread in the restoration forum and see if any of the guys there can help.
