SS-Dienstauszeichnung 3.Stufe (8 Jahre).
Hello guys,
I found this 8 years SS long service medal on Stockholm military antiques site.
I've noticed that the '8' on the back is slightly rotated to the right when you compare it with the roundel above to attach the ribbon. I'm thinking of buying the medal but I'm rather sceptic about the slight rotation...
Could it maybe was an error when it was stamped in the factory?
I see no further problems with the medal.

Looks like a good Deschler to me. The slightly off centre ring is not uncommon, in fact I think I read somewhere that the Petz & Lorenz made ones are always out a bit.

An original medal and if you are concerned with the askew reverse wait for a better and different example as this medal pops up quite frequently.

Looks good to me,most fakes don't have that raised ridge on the suspension ring mount.
