I was just thinking about what you said about the suspension loop on your 8 year award and got to wondering if it was the type I (erroneously thought to have been by Deschler) with the noticeably smoother finish?That type has a clearly "beefier" ring than either of the type II 8 and 4 year medals.

I am not very good at this but I will try to post it also. I thought it was a P&L.
nothing wrong with that one.
Agreed with the above-a good original. Am abit concerned, though, about the white speckling around the design elements. Is this a zinc alloy piece?
