    I'm being offered two medals, but am skeptical whether they are real or fake. First is a bronze Mother's Cross. What concerns me is the script on the back is not engraved. It is raised. Second is a vaulted WWII Iron Cross First that appears. I am very much a newbie and am looking for help!

    The EK is & the enamelling on the mothers cross looks iffy. But pics aren't the best, sorry. Stewy

    You're correct about the Mutterkreuz being bad. As well as the raised lettering, note the narrow width of the blue enamel.

    I agree on the MK being bad. Lettering is engraved not raised
