Greetings everyone, I have a few things of my dad's that he purchased in 1967 from a military emporium in Islington , London.
He has a helmet and eagle patch which I discovered through this forum were fake! I just wondered if your expertise could help me with a few more items..
He has a pin with the letters F and M either side of the swashtika, What does this mean?
There is also a badge with the years 1939 and 1816 (or 1818 I cant read it properly)
Also a skull with the prongs missing.
Are any of these items worth anything?
    Thanks for all your help!

Is this the pin you're describing? If so, many fakes exist, so pictures would be necessary to authenticate.

The skull in your above post is the type that would be affixed to SS caps, and the cloth item is a collar tab for SS uniforms. In my opinion, both are fakes. The medal is an Iron Cross second class (Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse). I don't know enough about these medals to say whether or not it's original, but I think it has a chance. More knowledgable collectors will be along in time to let you know for sure. Does it say '14' on the suspension ring of the Iron Cross?

We have specialised sub forums for many of these items. I have made a new thread for you on the Iron Cross here:

And one on the SS-FM pin here:

Another new thread made for you here:

The SS runes collar tab looks good.

    Cheers, Ade.
