This is a Civil Faithful Service medal, not Wehrmacht. It looks OK to me, though.

That's what I thought at first, but it's at the same angle both obverse and reverse so decided it is a artifact of the photograph.

It's original but obviously in worn condition.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
