Continuing with my recently found admiration for the Hindenburg cross, I have just acquired these two mounted examples.
Hope you like them guys

Nice clean ones - I like the faded ribbon on the Next of Kin.........

Me too Steve! Thanks for your comments.
I would always have said these awards are my least favourite but I got one in hand and they are just lovely !
I need one now without swords

They look good Nick, I never had any parade mounted medals but they do look the part and shows that extra something when the owners made the effort to get them done.

Whatever its just an opinion.
Thanks Jerry! I am a sucker for any parade mounted award , esp EK2s !

These are great example Nick! Is the ribbon is faded on the Next of Kin award? It might be the 'orange' type ribbon we sometimes see. Can you take a look on the back, under the red felt and see what the colour is there?
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
Could be Adrian ! As soon as I get them in hand I will check !
Certainly a different colour to my other NOK example

Thanks for looking Nick. I guess the orange/red colour is the original colour then!
