Better images will be needed in order for the experts to evaluate this piece. Post closeup, in focus photos of front and back
including images of the pin, catch and hinge.

Hi, for me this is a fake. The reverse shows flaws from being a cast copy and the front details are very weak, again indicating a cast from an original. A thumbs down from me.Leon.
Sorry Martin, I don't have more or better pictures but I do believe it's on purpose for the seller in order not to show much details...

Don't worry about the pic's mate. Leon's right, it's an awful cast copy of the 2nd pattern Schwerin U-Boot Frontspange.
