    Default U-boot Kriegsabzeichen - Schwerin Berlin 68

Hello to all collectors, here is another badge from "old austrian collector". For this time it is quite rare U-boot badge with marker Schwerin Berlin 68, it is very expensive item and hard to find in good condition on todays market. So lets start, in my opinion it is reproduction, because many things are on this badge bad - markers mark, sumbmarine has bad details and so on. Dear friends, I just need your opinions about this badge.

Thanks for your help and opinions.

    Best regards

    Peter

    Hi Peter,

You are correct, this is a well documented fake.

May I suggest in future that you also include close up, focussed shots of the obverse and reverse of the badge, taken straight on with pin open and closed. It really helps in examining the badge in question. The shots from crazy angles look very nice, but they don't give much help if you have to twist your neck this way and that trying to look for the pertinent details.

    Regards, Ned.

Sorry once more, Ned's appraisal is once more bang on the money. The Adlers head looks more like an Aztec bird than a Third Reich one! It also looks as though the hardware was fitted after the "finish" was applied. Leon.
