U-Boot-Kriegsabzeichen - Unmarked Opinions Requested Please

Good afternoon,

I've been offered a selection of Third Reich medals.

Within the lot if this U-Boot-Kriegsabzeichen - the detail on the front seems striking and I can see no obvious design flaws.

The pin attachment on the reverse appears to match known originals sadly without catch, what do you guys think on this badge. If it is original, who might be the maker?

Despite the missing catch,a very nice badge to have Glen.

When it comes to the design of the U-Boot award I have to say that the Juncker is my favorite,with the Schickle design coming in at a close second.
