It stands a chance, I can see why the edges worry you. The bubbled zink is usually a good sign. Good pics are really needed.

I know these pics are poor and out of focus: but the clasp is 100% real.

Apart from the de-nazification it looks OK from the pics, or as Ade says, stands a chance. Some larger images would be good.........
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
