Hi Francie,
I'm not the worlds best judge, and I would be happy to be shot down in flames, but it doesn't look too good to me, but for your sake I do hope I am wrong
Have a look at this site; Untitled Document and compare yours with these known examples.
Cheers,
Grant
Seems no good to me too!!
Not too clever at all, sorry. You can see a mis-casting on the sub from the obverse & some sort of flaw to the flag from the reverse. Then there's the pin,but pin etc could always be just a replacement. Stewy S

Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.

its very difficult to buy a badge without reference book , scale , caliper , you see in military show a good badge , you have a doubt , you buy , and you return in home , you take a book , and you see its a fake
hi francie.. agree with the above . not looking good at this stage .it may be of help to provide a couple of pics ,flat obverse and reverse ,instead of pics of the award on the stand. eagles head is distorted or it may be the angle . in my opinion this is a cast copy award with a replaced pin to help it seem more original ,ie salty.......paul
