front looks like a known fake with low quality !! is their any unblurry images of the front ??? also welcome and your first post is posted correctly !!
Hardware is not correct and the design has several red flags to it-such as the propellers and the non-cut out swastika. It should not be marked in this fashion.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
The badge, as already said is a fake with numerous things wrong compared to an original.
William, what do you mean that it shouldn't be marked in such a fashion?

There's been considerable talk that the Schwerin Berlin 68 is not proper for the uncut swastika U-boat badges. It is likely a mark that's been lifted by the fakes by making casts of the raised markings on the Destroyer badges that are legitimately marked like this. Also, when Stamped-rather than raised-markings of this are seen, they are rarely, if ever, so Deeply stamped. Many are very faint. The stamped letter fonts are quite different from this one's style also, in my opinion. Stamped markings usually have a wider more "squarish" lettering to them, where as this one is thin lettered.

Would it surprise you to hear that the seller of the now proven fake can supply sharp photos of the rear but only blurry images of the front! 😂😂😂
Thanks so much for the input, I have learnt a lot tonight.
Nothing would surprise me when someone is trying to sell a fake. If a seller can't or won't supply decent images then there is a reason. Whatever that reason might be, it's always best to walk away.

Age old situation, it looked to good to be true......and it was. Lesson learnt painlessly.
Here's an original Schwerin badge to show the difference in quality. This has obviously got the cut out swastika.
Photos and badge are posted with permission of the owner Hubert (BubbaZ) thank you to him.

The difference in quality is startling! Just viewing the deck gun from the rear is a giveaway now I see.
Thanks for posting those images.
