Sorry but in my opinion it is a fake.
The writing on the back of the medal doesn't look right for this medal and there isn't much detail to the front of the medal.

Agreed, you can tell from the lack of detail and the pock marks which are present from the casting process. If possible, a side shot of the medal would benefit this thread.
