Is there a better way to post pics then what I'm doing? I upload to Photobucket and then insert the IMG link here. The problem is that it seems to reduce the size of the image. The uploaded image is about 1.5 times the size of this one.

Ok, that's better. I guess my "permission" just got upgraded as I was now able to download directly from my computer bypassing the link to Photobucket.
The same dot pattern and the same flaw on the right hand sword handle binding. Have a look at a ground dug badge that I bought back in 2012 and you will clearly see the flaw that I mention:

As I said in my first post, good photos will really help for comparison purposes. The photos supplied were less than stellar. As Ralph mentioned, there was a good chance that the badge had been refinished, and with no additional photos forthcoming we will have to leave it at that.
