Another fake and it is the same story just like with Balkan shield which you have posted as well. This one was never instituted neither awarded or produced in wartime period also.

Actually, the Warsaw Shield was officially instituted by a decree of 10 December 1944 [Verordnung über die Stiftung des Warschauschildes, RGBl. 1945 I S. 1] with implementing provisions by the OKW of the same date. Awards were made on paper, or more, precisely, prepared on paper: According to a statement by Erich von dem Bach-Zeleweski, he never got to sign the prepared award certificates, which thus remained unissued.

There are two known design proposals for the shield made by Benno von Arent, dated respectively 9 December 1944 and 14 December 1944. Apparently, other design proposals existed as well. However, all of these were rejected by Hitler, which led to Prof. Richard Klein being commissioned to submit yet another design by an OKH letter of 28 March 1945.
In the end, the war was over before a final official design could be selected and the shield was never made or issued. This is also why there was never a 1957 version of this shield (unlike the Narvik-, Cholm-, Krim-, Demjansk- and Kuban shields).

The Berlin metal sculptor Albin Scheer was commissioned to make two metal models of the shield based on the two designs by von Arent for which he charged 540.-- RM. These were sold by Hermann Historica in 2016 and would appear to be two pieces shown above.

"Der Warschauschild kann verliehen werden an Wehrmachtangehörige und Nichtwehrmachtangehörige, die in der Zeit vom 1. 8. 1944 bis 2. 10. 1944 an den Kämpfen innerhalb des Stadtgebietes von Warschau (begrenzt durch die Linie Weichsel - Czerniakow - Mokotow - Wola - Zolsborz (Orte einschließlich) ehrenvoll beteiligt waren und eine der nachstehenden Voraussetzungen erfüllt haben:

a) sieben Tage Kampfeinsatz,
b) Erwerb einer Tapferkeitsauszeichnung bei den Kämpfen,
c) Verwundung,
d) ununterbrochener Aufenthalt von 28 Tagen im Kampfgebiet.

Für fliegendes Personal der Luftwaffe, das mit Gefechtsauftrag (Kampf-, Schlacht-, Jabo- oder Aufklärungsauftrag) aus der Luft in die Kämpfe innerhalb des oben bezeichneten Stadtgebietes eingriff, gelten - soweit nicht Ziffer b) oder c) erfüllt sind, nachstehende Verleihungsvoraussetzungen:

Flüge an mindestens 10 Einsatztagen oder mindestens 20 Einsatzflüge.

Zu den Wehrmachtangehörigen rechnen auch die auf den Führer vereidigten, im Rahmen bzw. in Verbänden der Deutschen Wehrmacht kämpfenden ausländischen Freiwilligen.

An andere Ausländer findet eine Verleihung nicht statt."

"The Warsaw Shield can be awarded to members of the armed forces and non-members of the armed forces who had honorably participated in the fighting within Warsaw city limits (as bounded by the Vistula - Czerniakow - Mokotow - Wola - Zolsborz line (to include these places)) from 1 August 1944 to 2 October 1944 and who have met one of the following criteria:

a) seven days of fighting,
b) award of a bravery decoration during the fighting,
c) incurring of wounds,
d) consecutive stay of 28 days in the combat zone.

For Luftwaffe flying personnel who have interfered in the fighting in the aforementioned urban area on orders for a combat mission (bomber-, ground support-, fighter bomber or reconnaissance mission), the following award criteria are applicable, unless they meet the criteria for b) or c):

Flights on at least 10 days of action or at least 20 operational flights.

Foreign volunteers who have sworn an oath of allegiance to the Führer and who are fighting in cooperation with or within formations of the German armed forces are counted as members of the armed forces.

Awards to other foreigners are not made."

You are correct.
Thanks for taking the time to explain things.
These are the two Scheer models. I also managed to acquire the Scheer Balkan model.
The quality of the hand-engraving is stunning.
The paperwork was sold with them, although I don't have it.
