Hello again!

I think this is a nicer one than the one I posted earlier.
Odd looking ribbon, I don't know a fat lot about these medals, I just love the design.
It's maker marked 19.
Worth a punt at £40?

Is it possible to tell if this one is zinc or not?
From what I have learned zinc is not the way forward in terms of longevity
with problems with bubbling and loss of finish.

I believe that they are all zinc. as for the ribbon it appears to be the width used in the manufacture of ribbon bars.

Some are tombak. Klein & Quenzer made them in tombak.

In short Tombak, is a brass alloy with high copper content and 5-20% zinc content. Tin, lead or arsenic may be added for colouration. It is a cheap malleable alloy mainly used for medals, ornament, decoration and some munitions. In older use, the term may apply to brass alloy with a zinc content as high as 28%-35%
