I'm thinking it's a repro ribbon. Check against the pic below, I know it's an EK ribbon but the construction is the same. Are there loops on the edges as pointed out?

Nope, no loops.

Repro then. But don't worry, original ribbon is fairly easy to get hold of should you want to replace it.
