Here are some differences in some of mine, with a fake to compare.

The fake is the last one right?
Nice 'frozen meat' medals!

Thanks for the pics of copy pasting. I've never seen a copy of this medal. Now I know what to avoid. And as for the "number 3" - pasting a better picture. And it seems to me that Adrian you're right - this is number 8.
nice original medals,,,
Fake packet and fake ribbon it came with. By the way, I was able to return this medal as it was an obvious fake, especially in hand. Got some good pics for reference though!

Good lord! So much wrong with that one, where should I start?
Bad casting with low detail. (eagle head especially)
Evidence of 'split' around the circumference indicating casting.
Dodgy looking silver wash on the helmet.
L12 as a manufacturer (don't think this was available)
Bad ribbon
Envelope looking too fresh in the printing and bad material.
Sad to know fakers are doing the lower end of the market now, seems nothing is outside of the scope of these scum.
Thanks for the photos, great information for the database!
Cheers
Glenn
Not to mention it's undersized (34.89 mm) or silly silver paint job. I've never seen an original under 35mm. They probably ground off the casting seam which resulted in its smaller size. I got it on the e-stand a few years ago. Funny thing is, the seller didn't believe me it was a copy.
Rob.
Both are good first one's a zinc, second could be a buntmetal. I'm with Ade i think it's an "8" too. Stewy
