Winterschlacht im Osten marking

Hi everybody,
I have question regarding to unusual marking on the ring of "Winterschlacht im Osten" medal (is it buntmetal type?) ...its marked with number 1 and I couldnt find any further details (maker, issued quantities...), does anybody have experience with same number on the medals?
Sorry for funny question but I am new here and just started to collect TR items, really appreciate any comments

There are no funny questions, everyone is here to share and learn from each other so don't be afraid to ask.
The medal is a nice original example and the '1' stamp in the ring is for the maker Deschler & Sohn - München.
