indeed a nicely made timepiece, and I do enjoy the level of craftsmanship to create
    such a work,....

It's hard to choose because I have many 'favourites', and like Glenn66, my interests
change almost daily as well, but of all, I suppose these two are rather special.

A war-worker's badge worn by my father, who built wooden wings for Avro Anson
and Mosquito bomber aircraft at Massey-Harris in Toronto during WWII,
and a restored 1942 Willys MB.

If the thread was started solely for posting only TR material, I guess I favour these
VT buttons, as it took me 25 years to 're-acquire' two, and they were both
    very reasonable price-wise...................!

Like I said earlier, my tastes change by the day, today my favourite is the DRL disabled badge that just arrived.

    not a medal,..yet my favourite,....
Hi, JWS. You have a very nice presentation pocket watch !

The name of 'Lohr' on the dial is the distrubutor or retailer, who would have 'custom ordered'
it from the manufacturer with specific features or embelishments, such as the fancy 'scrolled'
hands and arabic numbers on the dial. It is probably a Swiss piece (Omega ?) made a year
or so before the skilled engraving took place. The red 24 hr numbers were likely added
later as well because they are applied on top of the retailers name.

From the movement inside, you may find clues as to who the actual maker was by the
shape of the plates, etc, although this is easier with American pocket watches.
    - I hope you don't mind the rant.

Could you post a clear shot of the movement ?

I keep an eye on these things, I'd say 2-2,500 euro is the going rate. Too much for me at the moment but one night I'll be drunk enough then BAM! Deutsche Kreuz in Gold I'll have!
