The Meybauer Type A badge have a Copper Coated Zinc Eagle.The Type B badge a uncoated zinc eagle.I am not sure if it is Type A or B,but it is a nice original badge from Meybauer imo.No problems on it.

Possibly a type 'A' Joachim? The gilt finish to the eagle is well preserved which might indicate a copper layer below it and therefore protecting the finish from being absorbed by the base metal?

The leading edge of the eagle's wing looks slightly coppery in colour where the gold may have worn off this area?

The right arm of the swastika looks to have a small copper spot as well showing through.

You have good eyes Adrian.The leading edge of the eagles wing looks really coppery.So it is good possible,that it is a Typ A.
