Article about: I bought this fallschirmjäger badge a couple years back and i was wondering if it was original or fake. I bought it for about 3 euros at a flea market.

Hi John, you have shown the Luftwaffe badge not the Heer version which we need here.

    Cheers, Ade.
I know, but it was a close as I could get, one of mine.

Sadly I could only show the Luftwaffe version too.

The Heer badge has always been out of my price range.

    Cheers, Ade.

I quite like the Post War West German Para and Para Recon badges, similar to the WW2 design and quite attractive and much cheaper, though becoming harder to find these days. I could never afford a gen WW2 German Para badge as prices are crazy nowadays and so many very good repros out there so tend to go for next best thing rather than buy a repro.

Will see if i can post up some pix of the West German Para and Para Recon badges as used by Post WW2 West German Paras. To get those badges the training was horrendously tough and the Para Recon course probably one of the toughest in the world, so hard won badges when you look at it that way. Its an often overlooked area of collecting and these badges can be found for as little as £10 each.
