At the moment, I am not likeing what I see. The red on the bird looks like new fine rust: these do not rust. Also it has a rough cast look to it and the fact the mounting lugs are missing is another problem.

Great observation, Ade. I totally missed the red. That's definitely a bad sign if it's rust. I agree the cast looks rough. The post are the tell-tale signs for me. I don't like the one that is pictured but I would still like to see the other three posts. To be honest I'm not sure on the "HE" eagle measurements. This one is about 25.5" I believe. The "HE" eagle I have and all the ones I've seen have been a little over 27".
I'm way far from being an expert on these so maybe "HE" did make smaller ones. I do know fakes that are cast from originals can be smaller than the original. And the "HE" eagle is heavily faked.
Andre: Hopefully the seller sends you better pictures. Would you mind saying how much he wants for this eagle?
