    Hi Guys, these have always been popular and impressive items and widely faked for at least 40 years.

    So I have decided to create this sub forum dedicated to these railway & tramway eagles.

    We have almost two pages of threads dedicated to them.

    Enjoy!

    Cheers, Ade.

    In a while I can show the cover for my book about railroad eagles.
    I have seen the first proof, but will wait to show it until it is final,
    as some corrections and changes are needed to be made.
    The last corrections are being made at this moment in the lay-out
    and a final check is done right now by the editor from Bender Publishing!

    As always and learned before: some will like it, others won't! But that is
    their problem!

    Some statistics:
    late summer 2011 start for the project, it was needed to contact experts
    for information and and contact photograph-owners (choices had to be made
    from about 850 photographs), which caused various delays in a ready product;
    early 2013 text and other material was send to Bender Publishing;
    course of late spring 2015 the first lay-out part was received;
    october 2015 cover design was received and product is in hands of the editor;
    possible release early 2016.

    The book will have a larger size then normal Bender-size; will have 256 pages
    and include over 650 photographs, drawings etc. in b/w and color. Many close-ups.

    It's in the final stage now. I hope next week I will know about the final cover and can give soon some more
    information and details, as for example date for release and such! The size anyway will be about 21.5 x 27.9 cm
    (so not as the normal about 15 x 23 cm). WRF-members will be the first to know!

    A little bit of teasing with a foretaste. An earlier design for the cover, just a part. It is not the final form, but will be
    so largely:
