    Ger,

Really nice looking rig with all the right details & nothing detracting whatsoever. The mismatches are very common these days but these matched sets always seem to bring the money. I like it a lot!

A great condition example Ger. Berlin Police issue, the high serial number a reminder of the large force the city had. Interestingly in Berlin they didn't seem to use the sub district roman numeral code as other cities used. The other interesting point was this seitengewehr was the issued side arm of two different Police officers. We can imagine a retirement or transfer to another region would result in the officer surrendering his side arm, which then was reissued to a new officer.

Makes sense why there are Xs stamped over the numbers.
    Nice find Ger

And we would assume the crossed out number predates the letter and number serial on the crossbar. Which raises the question when? The crossed out 1105 has no accompanying letter code, so it may have been marked before the letter codes were adopted, which I think was the mid 1920's.

That's a beautiful example of a SchuPo bayonet though, cap is doffed!
