Guys,
Nothing special but local interest again for me.
I'm guessing Justice of the peace?
Nice that it has not been folded, quite unusual!
Regards
Jock

No, he was something more humble: A Justizwachtmeister was a court security guard / bailiff.
That is a nice document Jock, it looks brand new. The seal is crisp and crystal clear. HBL your spot on translations are fantastic. Thanks for all your efforts. Your mastery of the German and English languages are impressive. I struggle with my solo native English.
Take care,
Jay
HPL,
Thanks for the detail, I'm surprised we had a court in Bergen back then as it was a one horse town. The nearest today is Celle I think.
Jay, it is in good nick I don't know where it has been stored as this is from a stamp dealer, I think he must have got it with a job lot?
Jock
pretty neat. I think it's great that you guys from Germany and other places get to collect things that reflect your specific area of living. I live in Virginia, US...so sadly my area only offers Civil War significance. You all are correct that HPL has a gift for detail! I have seen his expertise in action many times now.
