Airdropped Propaganda Leaflet
Hello folks.
Picked this one up a few days ago. Propaganda leaflets of any kind are not easy to find, as they were very fragile and seldom kept by the soldiers they were dropped on. In fact, I believe many of them were collected and used as toilet paper. This is a rare survivor. Not in the best shape, but at least it's still in one piece, more or less.
This leaflet has a very clear theme: blaming the advances made by the Western Allies for the rise of Bolshevism. Part of the Nazi propaganda machine's efforts to drive a wedge between the British and their Soviet counterparts. In hindsight, it proves to be strangely prophetic, given the postwar layout of Europe and the subsequent Cold War.
