Indeed sig. is Graf von Brockdorff. Stewy S
Certainly looks like Von Brockdorfs sig and he commanded the Korps at Demjansk but apparently he wasn't in command when these docs were signed.

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.

I belive that because Von Brockdorf commanded the Korps at Demajansk and due to the special nature of that fighting he has probably requested that his sig be on all the Demjansk docs and Laux has deffered to this request.
Don't know whether anyone can confirm that theory ??
