Default Besitzzeugnis - Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz

Here is another Besitzzeugnis - Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz, I just found.

Issued to Gefreiter Paul Walter from 352nd Infantry Regiment. It appears to be field hospital issued.

I am a bit concerned about the stamp - 2 Panzer Division ?

    Any feedback is appreciated.

    Thanks !

I can only assume that the field hospital where he was treated and that issued this document was assigned to the 2nd Panzer...
I don't see anything really that jumps out at me as fake or forged...Anyone else see something I don't see?

    cheers, Glenn

That checks out. Sanitätskompanie 2/82 was a divisional unit of the 2. Panzer-Division.

I can't say I see anything untoward unless I am missing something obvious.
But IR 352 didn't fight at Omaha Beach - 352 Infanterie-Division did but Infanterie-Regiment 352 was part of 246 Infanterie-Division which was on the Eastern Front and destroyed during Op Bagration in June/July 1944. It was dissolved in August 1944 and reformed into a Volksgrenadier Division.

The man on this citation was wounded during the fighting at Rzhev.
