Document grouping to Franz Keusen. Gefallen, 15/12/1941

Hello all,

I thought I would share this document grouping with you all. Today seems like a fitting day to share, seeing as it was on this day (15th of December) in 1941 that this young man was killed in action at only 25 years of age.

I have this young mans Wehrpaß which I have had translated, his award document for his Ostmedaille (presented to his next of kin after his death) and a letter from an archivist to Franz's wife, shortly after his death, requesting a photograph of Franz for an 'Honour Book' that was to be prepared.













The Ostmedaille pictured is not part of the grouping. I hope you have enjoyed seeing this grouping, I feel very fortunate to own it.

A nice grouping Joshua , Pi 754 was a Heerestruppe unit , a unit at the disposal of Army HQ and was part of the 6th Army destroyed at Stalingrad , obviously well after you guy was KIA , here is a link if you don't already have it ,
