Dutch ID 1945, occupation

Hi,

This small poster came with this 1945 exception from forced labor work (in Germany) ausweis, from Holland. According to the son, the father was assisting hidden Jews with aid, working for the Dutch underground.This I am trying still to verify.

BEVEL


The German Armed Forces ordered that all men from the age of 17 to 40 have to register for labor in Germany.

All men who recieve this note have to go stand on the streets with the prescripted items.

All woman and children must remain in their houses. The men who are found in their houses after recieving this note will be severely punished and their private possessions will be confiscated.

Also those who have proof of exemption by civil or military authorities have to go to the streets.

The following items you have to take with you: warm clothing, good shoes, blankets, rain protection, knife, fork, spoon, drinking cup and bread for one day.

You will be paid with food, cigarettes and an approved sum of money.

We will take care of your family.

To the other inhabitants of the municipality it is forbidden to leave their home.

Those who resist will be shot...
