Thank you Paul, for taking your time to confirm, what I wondered with regard to correct rank, no flag there ! In comparison to other period documents that I own (across the board) it seems period, but with a slight 'waxy' feel to it.

Wow, thanks Hucks for taking your time to post this. What a fantastic map to own, amazing how quick they advanced in that month,to think who would have looked at these maps at that critical point in time, very interesting. I feel lucky to have acquired this historical document, I wonder what brave deed Obergefreiter Kern did to earn his EK2, that cold Winter ?
