This is a document for a former member of the Polish Armed Forces taken prisoner in the German Polish campaign.
Because he was of German descent, he was released from the POW camp in the Fortress Courbière at Graudenz (= Grudziądz) on the condition that he immediately traveled home and reported to the authorities here.
That he did so is what is being confirmed on the document's back, although there is one word that I just cannot decypher for the life of me...

    The top entry says:
"Der [illegible] hat sich auf der Ortskommandantur gemeldet.
    meaning:
"The [illegible] has reported to the local garrison headquarters."
[stamped & signed by some Leutnant of the Ortskommandantur Bromberg (= Bydgoszcz) on 12 October 1939]

Next to it, the next entry simply says:
    "geprüft"
    meaning
    "checked/verified"
[sealed & signed by some official of the Danzig Gestapo on 12 October 1939]

    Then we have:
    "Gemeldet in Bromberg, Dorfstr. 3"
    meaning
    "Registered at Bromberg, Dorfstr. 3"
[sealed & signed on 14 October by an official of the Bromberg Einwohnermeldeamt, i.e. the Local Residents' Registration Office]

    Thank you thank you!

One more thing, please. Can one tell what the rubber -stamp on the front reads?

Sorry, not all of it; it's too smudged in the lower part.

Top: Der militärische Befehlshaber (= The military commander)

Bottom: [illegible bits] Graudenz (= Graudenz, as mentioned, is the German name for Grudziądz)
