He earned his EK1 in 1941 (sadly the EK2 doc is missing from the group)

Wounded in action November 1941. Given the closeness of the dates, perhaps he was wounded in the action that brought the award of the EK1 shortly afterwards.

The icing on the cake for me. He earns the Luft Ground Combat Badge as a Feldgendarm with 7 Flieger Division. Combat awards to Feldgendarmerie guys are rare, but to Luft Para Feldgendarmerie - super rare.

And even better, here he is in full uniform with all his awards, AND the Feldgendarmerie cuffband.

PLease exuse the watermark, but this one is to be used in a forthcoming book and given the insane rarity of Luft Feldgendarmerie photos I'd like the book to have first call on good high res images of this one.

Another super group mate , any indication that he was involved with FJR 3 in Crete as i assume his other awards were made for combat around Leningrad in late 1941 ?

Sadly not. His EK2 doc, depending on the date , might have shown if he was always with FJR3, or at least with them at the time of Crete, but I have no way of knowing if he was with another Regiment before moving to FJR3 around the time of the actions at Leningrad.
