    Hey guys,

I have a field post letter from July 1944.
The writing has bleed out in parts and is very hard to read.
Can anyone make out what it says?
Would really like to know who it was addressed to and what it says and from whom?
Any help with this mystery would be greatly appreciated.
Does the address on the front tell his unit or where he is deployed?

    Thanks,

    Danger

    Hey guys,

    Good news...
I found a translator and had the letter translated.
While I was waiting for the letter to be translated, I found 3 letters to do with the same family.
If I can get my hands on them, I will get those translated too.
    Enjoy.

    Cheers

DANGER....while it is no proof that this letter is REAL, the fact that there are other family letters is a coincidence that inspires confidence.

The ink bleed reminds me of American civil war letters written with cheap iron based ink. The acidity eventually eats holes in the paper.....Doug.

    Hi Stakeside,

I bloody hope it's real!! Ha ha.
I spent more on the translating than I did for the letter and I was only able to get one more.
The others were just envelopes with missing letters.
I will post the other letter as soon as I get it, and get it translated when I can.

    Cheers,
