    Default German diplomatic passport question...

    Hi,

This might be a question for someone who is familiar with various German passports: the info on p.1, regarding internal and external military authorities, was due to the occupying western forces in postWW1 Germany? (this passport was printed in 1921) but used from 1924-1927 in Europe).

    Thanks,
    Neil.

I think the domestic and foreign (In - und Ausland) statement is formulaic and universal for diplomats and ministerial officials and not a reference to occupation forces. It requests that the bearer be given unobstructed freedom of movement by government and military authorities and, if necessary, that they give help and protection.

Thanks. I thought that since the British and French where occupying parts of Germany after WW1, maybe the passport had some clause due to that occupation, but I see it did not. Thanks again.
